Stories that Make Us Smile

“After a week of not being able to feed my son during his NICU stay, I sadly didn’t know if breastfeeding would be part of our story.

I was feeling like the odds were stacked against us…

But Amanda gently, consistently, and enthusiastically helped me rebuild, not just my supply, but my confidence. She showed up with a smile, knowledge, encouragement, and the kind of warmth that makes you feel deeply supported in a vulnerable season.

Because of her, I was able to breastfeed my son until 16 months, and easily wean him when he was ready. Amanda helped us through and turned what felt practically impossible into a true blessing.

At almost 2 years old, my son is healthy and well. Amanda was truly our postpartum champion, and I will always be grateful for her care, her presence, and her kindness when I needed it most.”

“Amanda was probably the 7th LC I worked with after getting a referral from a friend. She was so patient with me as I was frustrated from so many past trials and errors. She gave me such good advice and was so soothing to my baby girl. Under Amanda’s care I was able to latch my baby without a nipple shield and get a good routine going that worked for me. Although my BF journey has since ended, I will be back with the next!”

“Amanda has been such a blessing to me on this breastfeeding journey. This is my first baby, and breastfeeding was not as straightforward as I had hoped for us, but with Amanda's guidance we figured out what my little guy needed to help his latch, along with different strategies I can use when we've hit bumps in the road. From his shallow latch, to feeding timing, to increasing my supply and then later as he grew and seemed like a whole new baby with a new set of needs, she helped me problem solve his fussy feeding to make sure he's getting what he needs. Amanda is so warm, compassionate and knowledgeable, and she has an incredible way of putting you at ease when you are spun up from no sleep, sore nipples and a hungry, angry baby. THAT is a very special skill worth it's weight in gold at this particular phase of life.”
